How to use Stromectol
Use Stromectol as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. An extra patient leaflet is available with Stromectol. Talk to your pharmacist if you have questions about this information.
Stromectol is usually given as a single dose. If you are using Stromectol for ascariasis or strongyloidiasis, your doctor will probably tell you to take it as a single dose. If you are using Stromectol for onchocerciasis, your doctor will probably tell you to take it as a single dose once a year.
To treat strongyloidiasis, take Stromectol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
To treat trichuriasis, take Stromectol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
To treat ascariasis, take Stromectol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
To treat onchocerciasis, take Stromectol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
To treat river blindness, take Stromectol by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
Take Stromectol on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
