Dosage and direction

1. Ensure the scalp and hair are completely dry before application.
2. Using the provided dropper, measure 1mL of the solution.
3. Part the hair to expose the scalp in the affected area.
4. Apply the solution directly to the scalp, not the hair.
5. Gently spread the liquid with your finger to cover the entire treatment area.
6. Wash your hands thoroughly immediately after application.
7. Allow the solution to dry completely for at least two to four hours before washing the hair, going to bed, or using styling products. Do not use a hairdryer to accelerate drying.

Precautions

• Uncommon (0.1-1%): Dizziness, lightheadedness, tachycardia (fast heartbeat), chest pain, headache, and edema (swelling), particularly if significant systemic absorption occurs. Drug interaction

Formal topical interaction studies have not been conducted. However, caution is advised:

• With other topical scalp medications, corticosteroids, or agents that enhance skin absorption (like retinoids or petroleum jelly), as they may increase the systemic absorption of Minoxidil.
• In patients taking antihypertensive medications, as systemic absorption of Minoxidil can potentially cause hypotension (low blood pressure) or tachycardia.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular application schedule. Overdose

Topical overdose is unlikely but could occur through excessive application or accidental ingestion. Symptoms of systemic overdose (from ingestion) may include severe hypotension, tachycardia, dizziness, syncope (fainting), and fluid retention. Topical over-application may lead to severe local skin reactions and increased systemic side effects like dizziness and hypotension.
